Geoffrey B. Higgs, M.D.

Dr. Higgs has served as Associate Team Physician for Harvard University Athletic Teams, the New England Patriots Professional Football Team, the Boston Bruins Professional Hockey Team, and the New England Revolution Professional Soccer Team. During his Residency at Columbia University, he served as Chief of Physicians for Yankee Stadium and Madison Square Garden, home to the New York Yankees, New York Knicks(NBA) and the New York Rangers(NHL).
Dr. Higgs served his active duty obligation for a medical school scholarship as a Major with the U.S. Army where he became a highly decorated officer. He served in Seoul, South Korea, Heildelberg, Germany, and Taszar, Hungary during the Bosnian war.
Dr. Higgs is widely published in medical literature and has lectured at numerous national and international meetings. Dr. Higgs is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Currently, Dr. Higgs is a Clinical Assistant Professor of orthopaedic surgery at the Medical College of Virginia. He is the team physician for Henrico High School athletic teams and the team physician for the Richmond Rhythm, a professional basketball team in the International Basketball League
