I Had Surgery and I am Still Having Problems
Shoulder surgery can be difficult and sometimes leads to incomplete return of function. Many aspects of the shoulder are not 100% correctable. Sometimes, fractures and tendon (rotator cuff) tears are not fixable. Sometimes, surgery to stabilize the shoulder or "fix" these problems are not successful. What does a patient do now?
Advanced Orthopedic Centers has 4 shoulder specialists. Each has additional expertise in managing problems related to failed or unsuccessful surgery. The first step is to make an accurate diagnosis and determine the "pain generators". This includes reviewing prior x-rays, MRIs, and medical records. Then, we determine if we can improve on your pain and function.
If you decide to see one of our AOC shoulder specialist, please bring previous records including office notes, surgical records, and images (mri, xray, CT) when you come to the office. If you have a specific question, you can reach us at mherring@aocortho.com
